You need to sail Icon Class and here is why
Icon is currently already sailing and Star will begin sailing late summer 2025. These ships are unlike anything else. The way they are set up is so easy to navigate. Even though they are massive ships, everything feels so central and easy to get to. Unlike Oasis class ships there are multiple entrance/exits and you don’t have to go up to go down in the promenade etc.
The splash area being inside the ship is so much fun for younger kids and makes for such a great spot to hang out as a family. Surfside is similar to the boardwalk but much more enhanced with stores, bars, and spaces to hang out. It never feels crowded either, which you don’t expect on such a massive vessel.
The staterooms are gorgeous, my only complaint about this ship though is there aren’t multi room suites and the only standard cabin that can sleep 5 is expensive and only available in an infinite balcony. So that part stinks and something to keep in mind if this ship would work well for your family.

Central Park is so bright and colorful! I was hesitant if I was going to like it compared to other ships since it isn’t the typical garden vibe, but it really fits the ship and the vibe throughout it.
The entertainment is incredible, the new area for the shows is next level. Star of the Seas is also going to have a back to the future show which I am so excited about!
I think my #1 favorite thing about the ship though is that there are so many more INCLUDED dining options. I feel like on other ships you are almost 50/50 on what is included and what is specialty. On Icon they have many more options. Pearl Cafe and Aquadome Market are unique to these ships and I love them! Crepes and the Monte Cristo at Aquadome Market I had way more than I probably should have. Gotta get your cruise fare worth right?
