5 things not to miss at Plaza de la Familia at Disney's California Adventure Park.

Halloween at Disney Parks is my favorite time of year to go! It truly is "Happy" Halloween instead of just creepy and sometimes yucky! I was hesitant for the longest time to watch Coco but it actually is one of my favorites now! During this festive season at Disney's California Adventure park they set up Plaza de la Familia just like in the movie! It is free to take part in and so much fun to learn about "day of the dead" or "dia de los Muertos"

  1. Meet Miguel! While you may not actually get to have a conversation with him, your kiddos will love being face to face with a character that is actually their size!

  1. Remember your loved ones that have passed on. Last time we were there was about 2 years after my grandpa had passed away. Being able to write it out and have a moment of remembering him with my little girl was a really awesome experience.

  1. Make a free mask! In the movie you learn about spirit guides that are different animals. You will be able to pick and color a mask!

  1. The music. They have live entertainment that is very authentic. I loved their outfits and how it really made the whole area come to life. They had a mariachi band that was amazing!
  2. The food! As always Disney comes through with the best food options. Try the mexican hot chocolate!
