The Grand Floridian - Does it live up to its name?

We stayed at The Grand Floridian and here is my honest review! We arrived at the resort early in the morning for breakfast at The Grand Floridian Cafe. We dropped our bags off at Bell Services and went to our breakfast reservation. The Grand Floridian Cafe is quaint and fits the vibe of the entire resort. Our food was delicious and the views were so pretty out the window!

Our room wasn't quite ready yet, so we headed to Magic Kingdom. We took the water taxi and it dropped us off pretty much right at the security line. I love the views and open air of these water taxis! You also have the option of taking the monorail if you prefer!

We had a magical day at Magic Kingdom and then headed back to our resort after fireworks. By this point our room had been ready for a few hours and we went to collect our bags. The bellman escorted us to our room and even though it was after midnight had all sorts of jokes and made sure we had everything we needed.

The next morning we ordered room service and ate out on our balcony. Mickey waffles and a view.. the best combination! They do also have robes in the rooms (for little kids by request!) which was the cherry on top.

They have a few different pools onsite as well as water slide and water play area! Everyone was having such a good time. They also have poolside food and beverages.

Right before we caught our transfer back home we stopped at Gasparilla, their onsite quick service. They had great salads and sandwiches and of course the resorts signature cupcake!

If you are looking for a very fancy feeling experience. This is the place! The location is wonderful and the views are amazing. Oh and did I mention they have over 10 dining options AND a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique? (currently closed for COVID). This also is one of the most magical places on property to get married!

My final opinion - add it to your Walt Disney World bucketlist! This resort lives up to the hype!
